Volunteer Application
The Festival of Friendship is looking for volunteers!
Our volunteers are essential to help us provide you with a fantastic convention experience and we are looking for some wonderful people to join our team and help out this year!
What is involved?
Volunteering can mean several things – whether its helping to move furniture, making up sponsor bags, manning the merch stall, aiding in setting up panels or sitting in on events to help them run smoothly, our volunteers can end up doing all sorts of odd jobs! We will never ask a volunteer to do something they are uncomfortable with or physically incapable of doing so if you have any limitations please let us know! We also don’t expect volunteers to be on call all the time – you will be asked how many hours you are happy to do and if there are any events you really don’t want to miss. An organised schedule is made dictating where people should be and when, meaning in advance you can see where you need to be and can still make the most of your convention!
What do I get for Volunteering?
As a thank you for volunteering you will receive a drinks token for the bar (one per day of volunteering) allowing you to a free drink (if you wish to have an alcoholic drink please have this AFTER you have finished your volunteering for the day!). We are a small convention so unfortunately cannot give free convention passes to volunteers, however we will arrange for a small “volunteer exclusive” gift for you (gift TBC).
